New construction loans differ from resale. You need to know the difference before you shop. We will have an experienced loan officer with us to help you navigate the loan process in new construction.

Engage Your Buyer's Agent
The listing agent represents the builder. Although you can be an unrepresented buyer and go direct to the seller's Agent, it is recommended to have your own advocate.

Choose Lot & Floor Plan
Structural decisions must be made early before the slab is poured. Choosing your lot and unit style is the first step in the process.

Review the Contract
Builder contracts cannot be changed or adjusted. Learn what to look for. We will have a real estate attorney with us to help you navigate the legal questions you may have regarding the new constrcution process.

Sharon McNamara is the Broker, Owner, and Founder of Boston Connect Real Estate, a boutique brokerage based in Pembroke, MA. She grew up in Dorchester, just outside Boston, and has spent over two decades building her life and business on the South Shore.
With 20+ years as a new construction specialist, Sharon has worked alongside numerous builders and developers across Massachusetts giving her firsthand insight into the different approaches, contracts, timelines, and processes each one brings to the table. That depth of experience is exactly what she brings to this workshop.
